The 2x2 Shinobuden anime episode, "Monster Plant Going Wild" begins with Shinobu and Kaede watching Sasuke ninjas jumping over a small sapling that has been growing in the mansion yard. They are all trying to jump over the tree as cool as possible.
When Kaede asks if Shinobu is going to try Shinobu says she will but she'll jump her own plant instead. As Shinobu leads Kaede to her plant, Kaede imagines a small flower bed that Shinobu must have planted recently, imagine her surprise when she discovers Shinobu's plant is a giant monster plant that eats birds and butterflies!
Shinobu says she found the seed for the plant in storage and that is grew very quickly. Before Kaede can explain the danger the plant poses, the plant has already wrapped it's tentacles around Onsokumaru and is thrashing him around.
Shinobu quickly runs over and pleads with her plant to let Onsokumaru go, which it does by hurling him across the yard. Onsokumaru recovers quickly and learns that the plant is something called a "mammoth flower" and it's seed is thrown at enemy castles to destroy them!
The whole cast watches as the plant destroys the mansion, devouring all of the Sasuke corps' most prized possessions (dirty magazines, anime cells etc). Shinobu pleads with the plant who eventually remembers how well Shinobu cared for it and stops trashing the place.
The plant actually spits up all the stuff it's eaten, including the birds, butterflies, a cat and a bunch of Sasuke nins. The plant decides to behave itself, but later that day it has spawned a brood of saplings that are out of control!
Thanks for reading 2x2 Shinobuden!
