Review: Shinobu Play Ball!

The 2x2 Shinobuden anime episode, "Shinobu Play Ball!" begins with Sasuke and Onsokumaru invading Shinobu and Kaede's badminton game. The boys have been playing baseball and Sasuke has been showing off his totally unimpressive pitching skills.

Onsokumaru decides he'll show off in front of the girls and throw his "Diabolical" pitch that careers around the yard, destroying everything in its path. It ends up in Shinobu's shirt rolling around her chest.

Shinobu throws the ball back to Onsokumaru and it turns out she has a killer arm. The ball is a comet and it virtually uncatchable. Kaede points this out and, not to be embarrassed, Onsokumaru challenges the girls to a game of baseball.

The girls are quickly joined by Miyabi and Izumi and her squad of female mountain ninjas. The game starts up and the girl's team is first to bat. The very first pitch is a homerun! The girls do a great job and end the inning with four runs.

Onsokumaru is now up to bat and he connects with the pitch. As the ball he hit flys through the air, it splits into 108 balls, making it impossible to catch. Unless of course, you're Miyabi. She quickly summons 108 glove to catch all the balls. The umpire calls Onsokumaru out 108 times and ends, not only that game, but the next four games.
